Week Two. Part Two. Mel

Finally I'm finishing last week! I've been working at shooting in manual every since, this week has made it so much easier to understand. I kept waiting for the wind to take the flag straight out because it was windy as I was waiting to pick up the kids but this was as close as I got. I wonder if anyone gave me weird looks because I was taking these waiting in pick up line, ha! This photo makes me think of one thing......

Week Two. Part One. Mel

I said I was going to make more time this week and really, I didn't (grrrr). Today I went out to shoot in manual and my batteries died! I'm not going to lie, I really wanted to go to RiteAid and buy some even though it's Sunday (I was at Japanese Gardens and oh so close) because I wanted some alone time with the camera. But, I'm happy to say, I didn't. Maybe I can get to Part Two in a couple days? Oh yeah, ignore the ugly sink.

Shaila's Week Two

Since my kitchen didn't get enough light I had to take some pictures outside. So I decided to head over to this cool water fountain/waterfall downtown. It's off this natural rock wall, and it's quite cool! Some of these pictures you have to click on to get the full effect! I took some close up pictures, but liked these ones more. First pictures all taken in Tv mode (Shutter Priority).

I shoot in manual mode most of the time and thought about using a picture from a few weeks ago, but I almost felt like that was cheating. We went on campus today and I took some cute pictures of all the boys by this little sculpture. This is the picture I wanted to use, but I realized my ISO was set at 1600, so the pictures were really grainy. So this is the picture I decided to share that I shot in manual mode.
